The weather & kiddos

So it was raining all weekend and we woke up today with beautiful California weather with the Sun Shining! I had to get the kids outside and get those wiggles out! As I was watching the kids play, I realized how much I love that they get along so well and enjoy playing together. When I 1st got pregnant with Alana, I remember being so happy that Austin was going to have a life long playmate. They get along so well and I hope it continues throughout the years to come! (but I won't hold my breath!) lol Here are some pictures of a little park (aka: The Baby Park) outside our house.

So Alana (my TWO year old daughter!!) started school! It was really bittersweet, she was so excited and loves every minute of it! She spent the 1st week with Austin so of course she was fine. Then she got a new 2's teacher and is in her own classroom, which she seems to be adjusting well too! She looooves babies and phones (like most little girls) so she pushed her baby around and talked on the phone, it was so cute!

And this is her new funny fishy face that I can't get enough of!

New Home!

We finally moved into our own home! We are living in a condo next to the neighborhood I grew up in! So it is a little trip driving up the same hill that my mom drove up for 11 years! And the hill I learned how to drive stick shift on! The hill I walked up everyday to get to my best friends house! Weird! And now my children are walking up the same hill! Funny thing is that things haven't really changed. I can see the pool from my kitchen window and teenagers hang out at the pool, chain smoking at night, there is a whole bunch of kids that play outside, which we love! Strangely they are all around Austin's age, so my little social butterflies love it! And this is a picture taking by the entrance to the hood and I have many memories here too! :) Happy Happy! almost perfect....almost...

Family Hikes

One of my new favorite family activities is hikings followed by a picnic lunch! We did one at the beach and one in Whiting Ranch by our house. Alana is still a little lazy when it comes to walking so we sometimes bring the wagon which they both love so it makes Austin lazy! lol Usually he loves to walk and pick up sticks and rocks and look at bugs :) He is at the perfect age for hikes! Nothing is better than a free, fun, active and healthy activity!

New Year!

Wow, so its been a really long time since I have posted anything, but since I will be checking on blogspot more to keep in touch with my Texas BFF, I think I will try and post more! :)

Our 1st meet with our new OC Playgroup

Austin jumped into the foam pit about 150 billion times! He loved being able to jump all over the place and not get hurt! A kids dream, right? ;)

I couldn't get a clear picture because he was all over the place and didn't stop moving till we hit the car! He had a great time!!

This was later at night. We were getting ready for bed, reading books and playing with Alana. Austin will always jump in a picture if he sees me taking pictures of Alana...can we say "jealously" LoL

Nothing beats free tickets to a day at Legoland!

We had a wonderful 1st trip to Legoland. I definitely think once a year is enough for me! It was not Disneyland :) Anyway, all the Lego buildings were awesome and the ride lines were not too long. There was whole water/pirate area and that was his favorite part but since the weather was overcast most of the water rides were closed. We still had a good time and the kids were great moods! So overall it was a great family day!
