My English Skills

Last Night Damien was looking at my blog (for the 1st time) and started correcting and pointing out all the words I spelled wrong and sentences that didn't make much sense...I was laughing...so just so you all know, I am not retarded it usually late when I post things or I have the baby in one hand. And I am too lazy to re-read or spell check my work. Over it! LOL I am sure you have all seen my errors and laughed too!

I love having a baby girl...

I can't wait until Alana puts on some weight, I love all the clothes and changing her outfit! The newborn is swimming on her but she still looks adorable! Here are some pictures of the few outfits she has been in for the past 2 days she has been home.

Alana Ashley!

The Story:
So I am 37 weeks 5 days pregnant, Thursday Night. Damien has entertaining Austin while I was cooking dinner and he decides to put the bassinet together with Austi. He had to work in LA that evening and we were talking about how he can't work that far away with me being so close to due date. So the night goes on, Damien leaves at 5:30 and around 7pm I go to the bathroom and do the usual and we I get back the couch I was like hmm.. thats weird.. back the bathroom, changing pants.. you get the picture, well this goes on till about 7:30 and I check my last doctors paper, which tells you when you might be in labor. Well I always thought that when your water breaks its this big gush of nasty water. WRONG! The paper says, big gush or slow leak. "Oh shit" so I go into panic. I call Damien, he was says he is just getting off the freeway exit to his job, so he turned around. I called my parents and right when my dad answers, it hits me, I am going into labor, we have nothing ready but a bassinet and I start freaking out! Poor Austi was rubbing my back, saying "its okay mama" (Made me cry more because he was so freakin' cute!) So they were there in minutes, I don't think my dad has driving so fast since the birth of me...
so to sum up the rest, we all get the hospital, we walk halls for 1 1/2 hours, she comes into the world at 3:23AM...
Her stats:
6 pounds 13 ounces
19 1/2 inches long
Beautiful as ever!

Family day at our 2nd home

We started out day with cleaning house! Austin had so many new toys from Christmas and we had to make room for baby shower items. One of Austin's Christmas gifts from Grandma were stick on tattoos... well he want to be just like Daddy....

After dinner we headed over to Disneyland! We are so happy that Damien got a pass. He takes Austi on all the rides that I can't like the Rockets and Dumbo. We also took Austin on Alice and Wonderland and he loved that ride! When we got off the ride, we showed him the White Rabbits little house and he didn't understand why he couldn't open the door to the house!
We finished the night watching fireworks while heading to the tram and he was out before we hit the freeway!

He now knows the tram is not a ride, it means we are leaving! LOL poor baby!

Baby Shower

All Pretty in Pink! My shower went off better than expected and I am so blessed to have a wonderful family to put on their smiles for me! :) We started the games off with the classic food guessing game, which my friend and Mommy-to-Be, April won! Then we had a "Name that Tune" Baby style game that my cousin Carrie won, thanks to help from Team Billings! My Aunt Barb won the measure the belly game and my cousin Nicole won the Don't say "baby" game right at the last moments of the shower! Sarah was so close! My friend Danielle made me an awesome diaper cake! When I was taking it apart I had little surprises that she put inside all the diapers, like bottles and little toys. Everyone gave us so many beautiful outfits, toys, blankets and so much more for our little Alana! Special Thanks to my sisters for all the extra Mommy-Pampering I received, nothing beats a new outfit and mani-pedi! And of course Thank You to my parents and sisters for putting the shower all together and getting us ready for Baby Alana!

37 Weeks!

Congratulations! Your baby is full-term! This means that if your baby arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away. She weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long.

Christmas

I finally have time to blog about Christmas! After my baby shower I am going to re due the whole blog and take down my Christmas theme, but Austin is still taking a nap so hopefully this will give me time to blog about the great holiday we had together! So Christmas Eve, we spent it with Damien's Dad, Dieter or "O'PaPa" (German for Grandpa) and had a really nice dinner with him and watch Wizard of Oz which became Austin new favorite movie because he loved the flying witch! Then after he left we made cookies and after Austin ate 2 cookies he finally agree to leave some for Santa and my poor child was cursed with closing his eyes for pictures (my fault, I am the same way! lOl) But I got a picture of him with the Santa's favorite cookies! Then we woke up the next morning around 7, which I must add is sleeping in, and I don't think he understands why he got the presents because after we gave him his stocking he thought the rest were for May May! hehe We kept telling him "Santa came and left them for you" and he all of a sudden became super pro and super fast unwrapper and towards the end wasn't even looking at the present and just wanted to unwrap!

Once all the presents were done, it was time to take ALL of them out of the boxes and play and dump everything!
